This is a quality reprint of US Army Manual TM 10 1485, “Operation and Maintenance, Indian Motorcycle 741”.  Originally published in June of 1943, it covers pretty much what the title suggests: setup, riding and repair the Army’s 30.50 Indian motorcycle.

 This book contains a complete list of all parts used in the construction of the model 741 military motorcycle on:

 UNITED STATES ARMY WAR DEPARTMENT CONTRACT NO. W-478-ORD-3409 WITH ENGINE NOS. GDA-32037 TO GDA-351 57

 All parts included in an assembly unit are indented under the assembly number where such parts may be purchased separately.

 Parts manufactured by any company other than the Indian Motocycle Company carry the original maker's number.

 ENGINE AND SERIAL NUMBERS

 The engine number is located on the left crankcase just below the front cylinder.

 The serial number is located on the left side of the motorcycle frame at the rear axle.
